The Malawi High Commission team is attending a conference on Promoting Foreign Direct Investment in Africa.
The Conference has been organised by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) and is currently underway at Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dar es Salaam.
Among others, the team made a presentation on investment opportunities in Malawi which border around Malawi’s Vision 2063 agenda which seeks to boost sectors such as Tourism, Mining, Manufacturing, Transport and Infrastructure, Agro Processing and Energy.
Also in attendance at the event are Ministers from Tanzania and Zanzibar, government officials from other countries, representatives from the World Bank and Investors from across the globe.
The event will run for two days, 14th and 15th September, 2022. Activities include round table discussions, one on one meetings between government representatives and potential investors and media briefings.
The Malawi High Commission in Tanzania has intensified efforts in driving Foreign Direct Investment to Malawi and has taken an active role in promoting Malawi as a destination for Investment and Tourism.
